International Committee for Museums and Collections of Ethnography Comité international pour les musées et collections d'ethnographie

ICME is devoted to ethnographic museums and collections from local, national and international cultures. The committee is concerned with the challenges facing ethnographic museums and collections in a changing world. ICME informs its members of its activities through a newsletter. It also organises annual meetings on a particular theme and establishes working groups to pursue important topics.

L'ICME s'intéresse aux musées et collections d'ethnographie qui se consacrent aux cultures régionales et nationales, ainsi qu'à celles du monde entier. L'ICME se soucie des défis auxquels les musées ethnographiques doivent faire face dans un monde en mutation. Les membres reçoivent un bulletin d'information sur les activités du comité. Chaque année, le comité organise une réunion sur un thème particulier. Des groupes de travail ont été créés afin d'étudier des sujets importants.
