ICTOP's
primary aim is to promote training and professional development
and to establish standards for museum personnel throughout
their careers. ICTOP works closely with other ICOM committees
to achieve this aim. Its activities include the publication
of a newsletter twice a year; the periodic publication of
the International Directory of Museum Training, and the
organisation of annual meetings/conferences. ICTOP also
acts as an advisor for the establishment of syllabi for
personnel training.
L'ICTOP
a pour objectif la promotion de la formation professionnelle
et l'établissement de "normes" applicables au personnel
de musée tout au long de leur carrière. Pour atteindre cet
objectif, il travaille étroitement avec d'autres comités.
Ces activités comprennent la publication d'un bulletin semestriel
et la publication régulière de l'International Directory
of Museum Training, ainsi que l'organisation d'une réunion
annuelle. L'ICTOP sert aussi de conseiller au niveau international
pour l'établissement de syllabus dans le domaine de la formation.
